Any questions?

What is the most important vitamin for the eyes?

Vitamin A is the most important for eye health.

It plays a crucial role in vision, in particular by helping the eyes to better manage variations in luminosity (darkness, intense light, etc.) and by encouraging good hydration of the eye to prevent dry eyes.

Other vitamins that also play an essential role for the eyes include:

  • vitamin B2; and
  • vitamin E.
What is the best vitamin complex for the eyes?

A vitamin complex for eyes should ideally contain vitamins A, B2 and E in easily assimilable forms.

This is the case with OmegaVision Pro, which combines these 3 vitamins with omega-3s, carotenoids, anthocyanins and zinc.

Which food improves eyesight?

Foods reputed to be good for eye health and vision include:

  • oily fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, sardines, anchovies, etc.) for their high omega-3 content;
  • green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale, lettuce, lamb's lettuce, rocket, etc.), which have a high lutein and zeaxanthin content;
  • coloured fruit and vegetables rich in anthocyanins (black grapes, black carrots, radishes, blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, cherries, etc.);
  • foods rich in retinol, the active form of vitamin A (beef or cod liver, eggs, butter, full-fat dairy products, etc.); and
  • foods rich in beta-carotene, a precursor of retinol (carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, red peppers, etc.).

If you think you're suffering from an eye problem, don't hesitate to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist.

2 food supplements to take in synergy with OmegaVision Pro

Are you looking to reduce eyestrain? Alongside OmegaVision Pro, try a postbiotic such as inactivated Lacticaseibacillus paracasei KW3110. This has been tested to stimulate the eye's immune cells and help control inflammation linked to ocular overstrain (you'll find this postbiotic in the Vision PostBiotic food supplement).

Would you also like to further lubricate and protect your eyes? In addition to OmegaVision Pro, consider buying eye drops that contain sterilised water, lubricating compounds or even N acetyl L-carnosine, which has been studied for its effects on progressive lens opacification (see Smart Eyes™ drops).

What are the capsules in this product made of?

This product’s capsules are composed of HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), a plant substance derived from cellulose. HPMC is widely used for medicines and dietary supplements. It contains no animal ingredients, is recognised as safe by health authorities and is considered more sustainable than synthetic alternatives.
